Student FTEs (STÅ)

The page shows the number of fundable student full-time equivalents (FTEs) at the University of Copenhagen from 2014 onwards in the form of three visualisations and two datasets available for download as Excel spreadsheets (see bottom of page).

The three visualisations are as follows:

  • The development of total student FTE’s at the University of Copenhagen over time.
  • The development of total student FTE’s at each faculty over time.
  • The development of the total student FTE’s on each administrative unit over time.

It is possible to filter by study programme, faculty or a specific administrative unit.

Data contains information about the fundable student FTE production of bachelor and master’s students, including student FTE production of visiting students from other Danish and foreign universities. Data does not include credits transferred from other institutions.

Student FTEs indicate the number of years of full-time studies with passed grades at the administrative unit and faculty in question.

Student FTEs are broken down by faculty, administrative unit and type of study programme - bachelor/graduate/visiting students.

The student FTE’s cover the period 1 September to 31 August of the year in question.

Example: Data for 2020 covers the period from 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020.

The figures do not cover student FTE production for alternative financing such as paying applicants (USB), vacant spots and students in job activation, nor student FTEs for part-time study programmes at UCPH.
