Intake

The page shows the enrolment at the University of Copenhagen from 2014 onwards in the form of two visualisations and two datasets available for download as Excel spreadsheets (see bottom of page).

The two visualisations are as follows:

The development of the total intake at the University of Copenhagen over time.
The development of the total intake at each faculty over time.

Background information about data

The data contains information about the annual intake of bachelor students at the University of Copenhagen through the coordinated enrolment system (KOT) as well as the annual intake of master students from UCPH and other universities.

Only ordinary students who are currently actively enrolled as of 1 March for winter intake (students starting 1 February) and 1 October for summer intake (students starting 1 September) are counted.

Master's students who have been readmitted, changed study programmes, or transferred from another university are not included in the intake (but are counted separately).

Notes on data

As the codes and names of study programmes change over time, some study programmes will appear similar, thus creating a “shift” in the intake numbers.

The study start is calculated as the ﬁrst start on the same study programme within the last 13 months. If the student has been discharged and enrolled again within the last 13 months, it is not considered a new study start.
