Credit

The page shows the University of Copenhagen's credit statistics from 2014 onwards in the form of two visualisations, as well as a single dataset available for download as an Excel spreadsheet (see bottom of page).

The two visualisations are as follows:

  • The development in the number of students who have earned credit for each credit type at the University of Copenhagen over time.
  • The development of total ECTS credits earned on each credit type over

 

Data contains information about credits at UCPH broken down by level of study.

Credits are broken down by academic year based on registration dates from 2014 onwards. Note: The same student can appear with multiple credit types and in multiple academic years.

The overview contains the following credits:

Mandatory credit transfer

Credit in STADS (Study administrative system) passed before the start of the student's bachelor or master’s programme.

Pre-approved credit (UCPH)

Credits in STADS that either has the status "pre-approved" or "pre-subscribed" on the student's bachelor or master’s programme. The credit is earned at UCPH.

Pre-approved credit (other DK)

Credits in STADS that either has the status "pre-approved" or "pre-subscribed" on the student's bachelor or master’s programme. The credit is earned at a Danish institution other than UCPH.

Pre-approved credit (Abroad)

Credit in STADS that either has the status "pre-approved" or "pre-subscribed" on the student's bachelor or master’s programme. The credit is earned at a foreign institution.

Credit (UCPH)

Credit passed after starting the student's bachelor or master’s programme. The credit is earned at UCPH.

Credit (Other DK)

Credit passed after starting the student's bachelor or master's programme. The credit is earned at a Danish institution other than UCPH.

Credit (Abroad)

Credit passed after starting the student's bachelor or master’s programme. The credit is earned at a foreign institution.

The dataset contains the following columns:

Column Information
Academic year

The academic year for that particular year, for example: 2022 = 1/9-2021-30/8-2022.
Credit type

Contains mandatory credit transfer, credit og pre-approved credit. Credits and pre-approved credits are categorised according to whether the credit was earned at UCPH, at another Danish institution or abroad. 
Level of study Level of study, either bachelor's or master's.
ECTS The number of ECTS credits the different credits types contain.
Students

The number of students in a given academic year, who have either earned credits or had credit pre-approved. The number of students is not an indication of the number of credit decisions.
