CPR number
A CPR number (civil registration number) is your personal identification number that gives you access to important services while you study in Denmark. You need it to access your health insurance, borrow books, open a bank account, receive a salary and much more.
What is a CPR number?
- A CPR number is a personal 10-digit identification number
- Your CPR number will be issued on a yellow health card, which entitles you to healthcare in Denmark
- Along with your CPR number, a general practitioner will be assigned to you

Do you need a CPR number?

You must apply for a CPR number as you are staying in Denmark for more than six months and are a Nordic citizen.
